Plug and play for compatible Mitsubishi Delica L400 applications. The Lutz Auto Speedometer Calibrator corrects the speedometer and odometer after larger tires, gearing changes, or any other modification that affects the factory speedometer calibration. No wiring modifications are required.
When tire size or gearing changes, the vehicle can travel farther or shorter than the factory speed signal expects. This can make the speedometer read incorrectly and cause the odometer to add miles at the wrong rate. This calibrator corrects both the speedometer and odometer rate. Simple buttons on the sealed module are used to change the speed calibration. There are no complicated dip switches, computer apps, programming tools, or weird controls to deal with, and there are no latency issues. See the downloadable instructions for full installation details.
This calibrator works like this:
After installation, the speedometer calibrator will need to be adjusted properly by pressing the buttons. Each button press adjusts the speed by plus or minus 1/2%. Pressing and holding both buttons for 10 seconds will reset the speed to the factory setting.
