Plug and play at the transfer case for compatible Toyota Land Cruiser and Lexus LX applications. The Lutz Auto 70/80/100/105 Series Land Cruiser Speedometer Calibrator corrects the speedometer and odometer after larger tires, gearing changes, or any other modification that affects the factory speedometer calibration. No wiring modifications are required.
When tire size or gearing changes, the vehicle can travel farther or shorter than the factory speed signal expects. This can make the speedometer read incorrectly and cause the odometer to add miles at the wrong rate. This calibrator corrects both the speedometer and odometer rate. This calibrator works like this:
After installation, the speedometer calibrator will need to be adjusted properly by pressing the buttons. The key needs to be in the ON position, not ACC, while adjusting with the engine OFF for safety. Each button press adjusts the speed by plus or minus 1/2%. Pressing and holding both up and down buttons for 10 seconds will reset the speed to the factory setting. After adjustment is completed and the calibration is confirmed to be correct, reinstall the cap and sealing gasket.
